How to get started with Dolby.io integration

Before you get started Dolby.io integration, please make sure that you have the needed permissions for those operations.

  1. You will need an App Key, App Secret and some tokens (Streaming API Token, Streaming Publishing Token) depending on which Dolby.io node you need to use.

  2. Get an App Key and App Secret associated with your Dolby.io application in the Dolby.io Dashboard. Click Create App to get started.

  3. Name your application and click on the Create button.

  4. Once you create a new application you will see your App Key and App Secret on the dashboard in the Applications view. You will use the App Key and App Secret to authenticate for Dolby.io Communications API and Dolby.io Media API.

  5. To get your Publishing token for Dolby.io Streaming Director API, switch to the Streaming page from the top navigation bar and click on the Create button.

  6. Set your token in the popup window and click on the Confirm button.

  7. There you can find your Publishing token.

  8. To get your Publishing token for Dolby.io Streaming Multicast API, go to the Settings from the menu on the left side of the page and click on the Create button.

  9. Name your token and click on the Create button.

  10. Go to qibb Workflow Editor, open Node Catalog in the right sidebar, and install the Dolby.io nodes by clicking on the + button.

  11. For Dolby.io Streaming Multicast API and Dolby.io Streaming Director API, the authentication node is not needed. Enter your tokens into the Advanced/Security field of the node and start using the integration!

  12. If you use Dolby.io Communications API or Dolby.io Media API, you will also need to use the authentication node.

  13. Drag and drop Dolby.io Auth node and other Dolby.io nodes as needed from the left sidebar to your flow and connect them.

  14. Enter your App Key and App Secret in the Dolby.io Auth node. Then select your operation and enter your parameters in the other Dolby.io nodes and you can start using the integration!

Importing flow examples of a node
